Since the siege of Marawi started in May 2017, hundreds of millions worth of property and infrastructure have been destroyed, and hundreds of thousands of Filipinos have been displaced. Many of the internally displaced persons (IDPs) have fled to neighboring provinces, or have been staying in evacuation centers.

Generika Drugstore first became involved in the PSL when it sponsored the Philippine Army Lady Troopers during the 2014 All-Filipino Conference, playing as the Generika-Army Lady Troopers. For the following conference, Generika formed its own team composed of the coaching staff and most of the players from the disbanded AirAsia Flying Spikers. Generika did not participate in the PSL last 2015 and remnants of the team went on to form the core of the Shopinas.com Lady Clickers.

Gabay Kalusugan is a series of community centered events that aim to promote healthy living. The program features a wellness workout, a zumba contest, GabayKalusugan talk, PalarongKalyesugan, sampling of over-the-counter medicines and a lecture on AMR or antimicrobial resistance, to educate the public on the ill-effects of abuse and misuse of antibiotics.

Generika Drugstore opened its first ever affordable wellness store in Signal Village Taguig last March 30, 2017. The grand opening was kicked off by a Libreng Konsulta activity, free product sampling, free massage and free blood pressure monitoring.

As part of Generika Drugstore’s initiative to promote health and wellness, Generika conducted a Path to Wellness activity for Ayala Citizens in support of the wellness day event of both Ayala Corporation on March 24, 2017 and Integrated Micro-Electronics Inc. (IMI) on April 3, 2017.
